Dalit Girl Gang-Raped, Filmed By 5 Schoolboys In Principal's Office In Moradabad

The accused, all Dalits aged between 12 and 15, were the neighbours of the girl and attended the same school. Initially, the girl did not report the assault.

In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad, a 12-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by five schoolboys inside the principal’s office of a public school. The girl was raped after giving her a spiked soft drink, reports Times Of India. The boys also reportedly filmed the assault that took place on May 8. The report mentions that the boy threatened the girl to be silent and later circulated the video online.

The police arrested all five of the accused on Tuesday evening after the FIR was lodged by the mother of the survivor.

The accused, all Dalits aged between 12 and 15, were the neighbours of the girl and attended the same school. Initially, the girl did not report the assault. Her mother came to know of the incident after a neighbour showed her the video on Monday night.

The victim’s mother told police that her daughter had appeared depressed for some time. She had repeatedly asked the girl if something was wrong, but the girl had remained silent until confronted with the video.

The victim then broke down and revealed the sequence of events. She said that on May 8, while she was playing outside her home, the five boys approached her and lured her to a nearby high school under the pretence of buying her something.

One of the boys had brought the key of school from his house, where his father, who is the watchman of the school, had kept. Once all of them were inside the school, the boys locked the main gate and took the girl to the principal’s office. The girl was then given soft drink laced with drugs and was raped and recorded the act on a mobile phone.
