BJP Crucial Meeting On Organisational Polls On Oct 21. Here's What's On Agenda?

The meeting is set to begin at 12 pm and is expected to last for seven hours. The meeting will be held to elect leaders at the state level, starting with the mandal, district, and state presidents.

The BJP has called a crucial meeting on Monday at the party headquarters regarding the election of party leaders across organisational levels.

BJP President JP Nadda will preside over the meeting, which will be attended by party leaders across organisational levels. The BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) leaders and state-level leaders will also be present in the meeting.

The meeting is set to begin at 12 pm on October 21 and is expected to last for seven hours. The meeting will be held to elect leaders at the state level, starting with the mandal (block), district, and then state presidents.

The party is scheduled to elect leaders from the block to the President level within the BJP in the next two months. The office-bearers will be giving instructions to other party leaders and workers on whatever has to be done for the preparations.

A workshop focussing on the organisational elections will also be held. This session aims to equip leaders with the necessary tools and strategies to effectively conduct the elections and strengthen the party's internal framework.

The meeting will also evaluate the ongoing BJP membership campaign, assessing its progress and exploring ways to enhance engagement with potential members.Attendees at the meeting will include Central Election Committee office bearers, state election office bearers, all national office bearers of BJP, state presidents, and organisation secretaries.

Earlier this week, the party appointed National President of BJP OBC Morcha Dr K. Laxman as the National Returning Officer to conduct the nationwide organisational elections, which will culminate with the election of the next president to replace JP Nadda.

According to BJP sources, the elections for state unit presidents will begin on December 1. JP Nadda has been the party chief since January 2020 and his three-year stint was extended earlier this year in June until the party elects his replacement.
