Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's 'Pragati Yatra' Chopper Pilot Suspended Over Failure To Report For Duty

During the 'Pragati Yatra', Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's helicopter captain, Vivek Parimal, failed to show up for duty. A co-pilot has been called in to replace him.

Bihar News: The government has taken major action against the captain who flew Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's helicopter during the 'Pragati Yatra' in Bihar. The government has suspended Captain Vivek Parimal, who was posted as the pilot of Nitish Kumar's chopper.

Captain Vivek Parimal has been accused of being continuously absent from duty during the Chief Minister's 'Pragati Yatra'. He also did not discharge his responsibility of providing no-objection certificates from helipads, coordinates, photos and videos to the helicopter operator. Considering this as serious negligence and indiscipline towards duty, Captain Vivek Parimal has been suspended.

Captain Vivek Parimal was absent without intimation from the Directorate of Aviation during the Chief Minister's 'Pragati Yatra', due to which he did not discharge his responsibility of providing no-objection certificates from helipads, coordinates, photos and videos to the helicopter operator, showing serious negligence and indiscipline towards duty.

Captain Parimal has been absent from duty without authorisation since January 3 and has also kept both his mobile numbers switched off. Captain Vivek Parimal, while being posted as a pilot in the Directorate of Aviation, did not obtain the necessary Currency for the operation of the state aircraft King Air C-90 A/B, VT-EBG, which is used for the air travel of the state's very important persons, such as the Governor, Chief Minister and others.

Due to this, it was necessary to get a co-pilot from an external source for the operation of the state aircraft, which incurred additional expenditure. He was suspended under Rule-9 (1) of the Bihar Government Servants Rules, 2005. Action will be taken to file a charge sheet against Captain Parimal and initiate separate departmental proceedings.

He will be paid subsistence allowance as per rules in the suspended state under the provisions of Rule-10 of the Bihar Government Servants (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 2005.
