A young woman allegedly attempted to assault traffic police officers at the ESI Hospital junction in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, causing a stir at the busy intersection on Thursday. The incident, which was captured on video and went viral on social media, involved the woman, identified as Sonam, in a heated altercation with law enforcement over a parking dispute.
According to reports, the confrontation began when Sonam had a disagreement with another commuter, leading to an intervention by traffic police officers. Witnesses claimed that during the chaos, Sonam’s behavior escalated, and she began shouting in Hindi, making threats against the officers' jobs.

The viral footage shows Sonam aggressively pulling on an officer’s body camera while attempting to stomp on the feet of another officer. The Indiranagar law and order police confirmed that an FIR has been filed and Sonam has been taken into custody. The Bengaluru Traffic Police issued a statement on social media platform X, confirming that a criminal case had been registered.
Efforts by officers to de-escalate the situation were reportedly unsuccessful, as Sonam continued to lash out, causing further commotion. Initially, authorities assured that appropriate legal action will be pursued in light of the incident.
Bengaluru Traffic Police said, "A criminal case has been registered in Indiranagar Police Station and the accused has been arrested."
However, the video was not independently verified by ABP Live.
