Amit Shah Makes Bold Prediction For Tamil Nadu, West Bengal In 2026: 'NDA Will Form Govt'

Amit Shah asserted the NDA would govern Tamil Nadu and West Bengal by 2026, urging Tamil Nadu to teach medicine and engineering in Tamil.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that the NDA would form governments in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Addressing the party office bearers, Shah hailed Madurai as a city of 'Parivartan' and said his party's Karyakarta Sammelan (workers meet) would lead to change as well, of dislodging DMK from power.

"In 2025, we formed the government in Delhi, in 2026, the BJP-NDA will form the government in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu…,” Shah said.

The Union Home Minister also repeated his demand from the Tamil Nadu government that the medical and engineering be taught in the Tamil language soon. He also said that Prime Minister Modi respected Tamil Nadu by installing Sengol in parliament and wished that Stalin write a letter to PM Modi thanking him for it.

"I want to repeat my demand from the Tamil Nadu government that medical and engineering be taught in the Tamil language soon. PM Modi respected Tamil Nadu by installing Sengol in parliament, and I expect MK Stalin to write a letter to the PM to thank him for it,” Shah said.

Before addressing the state, district and mandal level office bearers, Shah chaired the meeting of the state core committee of the Tamil Nadu BJP.  He also worshipped at the Madurai Meenakshi temple.

The BJP state president Nainar Nagendran also hit out at the DMK regime over the law and order scenario and questioned the police over targeted killings of elderly people in villages in the western Kongu region. He appealed to cadres to work with determination and described the alliance with AIADMK as a suitable alliance. Nagendran said that his resolve will take the maximum number of MLAs to the Assembly, like a yatra. He hailed Amit Shah as India's Iron Man, another Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
