ABP Exclusive: Chirag Paswan Calls Prashant Kishor His Friend, Says 'Owaisi Is....'
Chirag Paswan, the 42-year-old son of LJP founder, the late Ram Vilas Paswan, is going to contest the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled later this year.

Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan, in an exclusive chat with ABP News, said he considers Prashant Kishor his friend. On being asked about his thoughts on AIMIM chief Assauddin Owaisi, Pasawan said, "He is clear...right or wrong is debatable."
Paswan, the 42-year-old son of LJP founder, the late Ram Vilas Paswan, is going to contest the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled later this year. Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party will contest in a pre-poll alliance with the ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) of Nitish Kumar in the Bihar elections. Paswan’s party has no presence in the current assembly, but it won all five seats it contested in last year’s general elections.
Chirag Paswan To Contest From "General Seat"
In the exclusive conversation with ABP News, Paswan said he intends to contest from a "general seat" and that the decision has already been communicated publicly by his party.
When asked if he would be willing to take on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in his constituency of Raghopur, Chirag replied, “I am prepared to face any situation. The assembly segment Tejashwi contests from is part of my Lok Sabha constituency.” However, he added that he would not violate coalition discipline, stating, “These matters must be discussed within the NDA alliance. I will not break coalition dharma.”
On the question of how many seats the LJP (Ram Vilas) is aiming for, Chirag refrained from quoting specific numbers but stressed that seat distribution should reflect each party’s strength. "I can’t name a number, but it’s clear that every alliance partner should get seats proportionate to their ground presence,” he said.
Chirag clarified that he will not demand seats merely to increase the party's count. “We will only contest where our presence is strong,” he asserted.
When asked how confident he is about winning, Chirag said, “As part of the NDA, I see us winning more than 225 seats. I will win whatever number of seats I contest.”
