All Requests Left On Seen: Zomato CEO Slams Free Ticket Seekers For Dua Lipa’s Concert

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has urged people to purchase tickets for the upcoming Zomato Feeding India Concert, featuring an exciting performance by international pop sensation Dua Lipa. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Goyal shared that he has been flooded with messages from individuals requesting free passes to the event.

Interestingly, many of these requests have come from people who could easily afford to buy tickets. Goyal made it clear that he would not be responding to these requests, emphasising, “At my end, I am leaving all such messages on seen.”

The Zomato Feeding India Concert, set to take place on November 30 in Mumbai, is dedicated to supporting initiatives against hunger and malnutrition in India. The event has already attracted considerable interest, with over 300,000 people expressing their intent to purchase tickets as of August 26. Goyal has urged the public to buy tickets and contribute to this crucial cause.

In his post on X, he wrote, “We have already hit 300k registrations on the "notify me when tickets open up" for the Zomato Feeding India Concert with @DUALIPA! Thank you everyone for showing so much love! Pre-sale for all HSBC card holders goes live tomorrow. PS – I've been getting a lot of messages for free passes to the concert. Interestingly, all these requests are from people who can very well pay for these tickets. At my end, I am leaving all such messages on seen. I request everyone to please buy these tickets, it’s one step in supporting the cause on eradicating malnutrition and hunger in India.”

Pre-sale tickets became available on August 27, with HSBC cardholders receiving early access.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa has expressed her enthusiasm about returning to India after her last visit in 2019. Reflecting on her previous experience, she said, "The warmth and energy I felt was amazing, and I can’t wait to return in November 2024 to perform for an incredible audience at the Zomato Feeding India Concert."
