Gold Price Today: Gold Prices Fall, Silver Strengthens; Know Today's Rates

Gold Price Today: A slight decline has been recorded in gold prices today. Gold fell by 0.16 percent to Rs. 47926 per 10 grams today.

Gold Price Today: There is good news for people looking forward to buy Gold and Silver. Gold and silver prices fell in India today amid weak global cues. Gold fell by 0.16 percent to Rs. 47926 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange today. At the same time, Silver fell 0.3 percent to Rs. 67865 per kg.

In the previous session, gold had fallen by about Rs. 400, or 0.75 percent, and silver prices had also seen a decline of 0.5 percent. Gold prices tumbled in the global markets too.

After reaching record highs in the past two weeks, gold was down by 0.2 percent. The price of gold reached USD 1809.21 per ounce after this decline.

In other precious metals, Silver fell 0.4 percent to USD 25.37 per ounce. However, a growth was recorded in the price of platinum. Platinum rose 0.6 percent to USD 1,054.72.

Gold Rate (per 10gms) in major cities

In New Delhi, the price of 22 carat gold reached Rs. 47,140 per 10gms and the price of silver reached Rs. 67,900 per kg. Talking about Mumbai, the price of 22 carat gold here is Rs. 47,380 per 10gms and the price of silver is Rs. 67,900 per kg.

In Chennai, the price of 22 carat gold is currently at Rs. 45,470 per 10gms and price of silver is at Rs. 73,000 per kg. In Kolkata, the price of 22 carat gold is Rs. 47,550 and the price of silver is Rs. 67,900 per kg.
