Residential And Commercial Township Breaks Ground In Activation Zone Of Dholera Amid Infrastructure Boom

GAP Group’s Akhilam township project to deliver holistic urban living, drive Dholera’s growth

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India]: GAP Group, one of western India’s fastest-growing infrastructure developers, is undertaking a pioneering township development in the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), positioning itself at the forefront of India’s most ambitious smart city initiative.

The integrated township project, named Akhilam, will feature residential towers, corporate office spaces, high-street retail outlets, and a modern food court, offering a complete urban ecosystem.

Unveiled recently, the project follows GAP Group’s acquisition of the first-ever auctioned real estate plot in Dholera SIR. Spanning 42,000 square metres in the activation area, Akhilam is designed to cater to the fast-rising demand for premium real estate in Dholera, which is rapidly transforming into a global industrial and technological hub.

Dholera SIR has gained fresh momentum with the ongoing development of India’s largest semiconductor fabrication facility by a joint venture of the Tata Group and Taiwan’s PSMC. Expected to be operational within two years, the facility alone is projected to create 20,000 skilled jobs. The 5,600-acre activation area is expected to create over 1.5 lakh jobs by the end of this decade, giving a significant boost to demand for high-quality housing and lifestyle amenities.

Commenting on the project, Ambrish Parajiya, Managing Director of GAP Group, said, “Dholera is set to become one of India’s most happening industrial corridors. Our township project is aligned with this vision, ensuring that residential and commercial infrastructure keeps pace with the scale and speed of industrial growth. We are committed to contributing to Dholera’s emergence on the global map.”

Akhilam’s offering includes 1,000 premium 1BHK residences, a modern business park, financial service spaces, lifestyle amenities, and curated retail and dining zones. The project aims to provide a holistic urban experience tailored to the needs of a new-generation workforce.

Dholera’s development is supported by major infrastructure initiatives, including the under-development Rs. 5,000 crore Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, the greenfield Dholera International Airport, and the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) node at Bhimnath, which will significantly enhance the region’s connectivity and investment appeal.

With future-ready spaces in Akhilam, GAP Group continues to cement its role as a key player in the Dholera growth story.
