Ashneer Grover Terms Union Budget 'Boring And Meaningless', Netizens Laud Him For Speaking Out
Netizens expressed their agreement with Grover's observation and criticised the government for presenting a Budget which levied more taxes on the same class of people in the economy.
Entrepreneur and former Shark Tank India judge, Ashneer Grover, criticised Budget 2024 heavily on Tuesday. Grover labelled the Union Budget as ‘boring, lifeless, and meaningless’.
Reacting to the Budget presentation, the BharatPe founder in a post on social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), said, "Actually watching yet another Ambani wedding function over this - would’ve been more value and better use of time."
Budget 2024 - ‘Boring, Lifeless and Meaningless’.

Instead of delivering this budget they could’ve just said - “Iss baar man sa nahi kar raha - agli baar dekh lenge agar kuchh karna hai toh”.
Actually watching yet another Ambani wedding function over this - would’ve been more…
The Budget 2024 brought in a number of changes including revisions in the tax slabs for the new tax regime and a hike in the standard deduction limit under the system for taxpayers. Further, the government also increased the tax liability on short term and long term capital gains for individuals. The corporate tax liability for foreign firms was reduced from 40 per cent to 35 per cent.
Netizens expressed their agreement with Grover's observation and criticised the government for presenting a Budget which levied more taxes on the same class of people in the economy.
One of the users, @pawanyadav8, said, "It’s a perfect budget to cut more pockets of taxpayers by saying that they are saving their pocket!". While others lauded Grover for speaking with courage and honesty about the Budget.
Another Netizen, @Afzalmeman092, commented that the Budget failed to deliver anything for the middle class people. "Looks like middle class again got nothing. At this point middle class should stop watching the budget. We hardly get anything and waste hours watching and analysing. It seems like every year budget came and middle class suffers the most.. what's your thoughts?", he questioned.
