Adani Group Announces 'Skill And Employ’ Initiative In Partnership With ICGC
Founded in 1956, IGCC is a non-profit organisation that serves as the largest German bi-national chamber abroad and the largest chamber of commerce in India

The Adani Group has launched a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening India's workforce. This initiative introduces one of the largest "Skill and Employ" programs, designed to support the government's ‘Make in India’ initiative, the firm said on Thursday.
In partnership with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), the Adani Group aims to create a skilled talent pool for critical industries such as green energy, manufacturing, high-tech sectors, project excellence, and industrial design, among others, the firm claims.
Founded in 1956, IGCC is a non-profit organisation that serves as the largest German bi-national chamber abroad and the largest chamber of commerce in India. It has nearly 4,000 member companies across a broad range of sectors.
The Adani family has pledged over Rs 2,000 crore to establish a world-class institution and finishing school in Mundra. This program will primarily focus on selecting students from technical and vocational education backgrounds across India, tailoring their training to meet industry-specific needs and career goals. Upon successful certification, students will have the opportunity to secure employment either within the Adani Group or in other related industries, ensuring they are fully prepared for the workforce from day one, according to the Adani Group’s official statement.
High-Level Technical Talent
Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills & Education, said, "This partnership is pivotal to our Group's mission of cultivating high-level technical talent and aligns seamlessly with our commitment to the 'Make in India' initiative across our diverse portfolio. Through comprehensive engagement in academic quality assurance, certification-driven learning pathways, and faculty and student exchange programs, this collaboration will integrate the finest application-based learning for India's youth. Our approach ensures that students are industry-ready from day one, thereby supporting various sectors and contributing to India’s growth story."
"Our partnership with the Adani Group is a significant step towards developing next-generation talent that will drive India's industrial growth and innovation. IGCC has strong experience in implementing high-quality German Standard Dual Vocational Education certified programs and courses in India. We target the valuable cooperation with the Adani Group to be a long-term strategic partnership,” added Ute Brockmann, IGCC Deputy Director General and Head of DEinternational Services.
