Adani Group Announces 'Skill And Employ’ Initiative In Partnership With ICGC

Founded in 1956, IGCC is a non-profit organisation that serves as the largest German bi-national chamber abroad and the largest chamber of commerce in India

The Adani Group has launched a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening India's workforce. This initiative introduces one of the largest "Skill and Employ" programs, designed to support the government's ‘Make in India’ initiative, the firm said on Thursday.

In partnership with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), the Adani Group aims to create a skilled talent pool for critical industries such as green energy, manufacturing, high-tech sectors, project excellence, and industrial design, among others, the firm claims.

Founded in 1956, IGCC is a non-profit organisation that serves as the largest German bi-national chamber abroad and the largest chamber of commerce in India. It has nearly 4,000 member companies across a broad range of sectors.

The Adani family has pledged over Rs 2,000 crore to establish a world-class institution and finishing school in Mundra. This program will primarily focus on selecting students from technical and vocational education backgrounds across India, tailoring their training to meet industry-specific needs and career goals. Upon successful certification, students will have the opportunity to secure employment either within the Adani Group or in other related industries, ensuring they are fully prepared for the workforce from day one, according to the Adani Group’s official statement.
