2020 will be a turning point in our expansion story: MD Noor Mahal

New Delhi [India], Aug 24 (ANI): Based in the vicinity of Delhi and Chandigarh, Karnal's culture and heritage rich property, Noor Mahal claims to have aggressive expansion plans that will prove to be a turning point in the company's growth story.

"The group has aggressive expansion plans, and it aims to expand its footprints in other parts of the country, also in the foreign destinations in the years to come. The year 2020 shall be a turning point for the company's expansion," said Roop Pratap Choudhary, Managing Director, Noor Mahal.

A hit destination amongst travelers, Noor Mahal is a luxurious palace hotel dipped in the rich culture and heritage of Indian royalty. Designed by Himmat Singh Ji, the renowned architect from Delhi, and vetted by Nimish Patel, the famous architect from Gujarat in 2010, every nook and corner of the palace is full of intricate details that capture the authentic essence of traditional Moghul and Rajputana styles of architecture.

"The property reflects rich heritage and culture, and was built keeping in mind India's rich tradition in perspective. The Hotel architecture showcases beautiful mix of traditional Mughal and Rajput architecture. We wanted to create an architectural landmark, a hotel that portrays the best of traditional elegance and modern amenities," said Roop Pratap Choudhary while adding that the property is a fusion of tradition and culture portrayed in a royal splendour.

"Our love for tradition is showcased via architecture, artwork, interiors, paintings, traditional Indian workmanship etc," he added.

Apart from Presidential suites and heritage suites, Noor Mahal boasts special royal sleeping chamber called the "Khwabgah" which includes two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, separate bar, office chamber with a private terrace that gives the overview of Karnal city.

The property has lately become a hit amongst travelers who are looking for a good weekend getaway, wedding planners and the corporate.

Commenting on the new trend of sorts, Roop Pratap said that the hotel is not just a tourist destination, but it also has become a prime destination for Indian weddings.

"Spread over 10 acres and 350000 square feet of carpet area, Noor Mahal soon gained the repute of hosting the regions finest weddings and catering to the state's growing corporate movement," he added.

Adding to this he said that Noor Mahal will soon be a one stop shop for all wedding requirements as the hotel follows an innovative approach in keeping up with the times and offering guests trending and personalised wedding experiences.

"With 130 plus rooms and suites alongside 13 venues to choose from, it truly is an ideal wedding venue," he added.

On completion of two years of Goods and Services Tax (GST) he said, "We faced minor problems as with any new initiative. There were certain aspects that were not clear regarding services at the hotels. Educating our guests regarding different tax structures were initially challenging but we also need to realize that GST is still evolving and it is going to be a continuous learning process for the government and us."

He added that certain aspects have become easier such as forecasting, better transparency, provision of GSTIN number from the vendors that have made the tracking and updating our source much easier.

"We also realized that while gearing up for the implementation of this new system, our ecosystems weren't ready. Our vendor registration programmes drastically dropped. It was our thought process of consolidation and also the resistance displayed by many of the small players to fall in line with GST," added Roop Pratap.

Owned and run by retired Colonel Manbeer Singh Chaudhary, Noor Mahal is set amid lush green fields and a maze of canal networks. Sprawling across eight acres of land, it is one of the most popular locations for weddings and pre-wedding shoots in India. (ANI)
