This Car Company Is Planning To Close Its Factory In India, Know Why

Recently, there were reports that Ford and Mahindra would jointly make vehicles in India, but it did not happen. At the same time, now the company is thinking to close its factory in India.

America's popular auto company Ford Motor is thinking to close its factory in India. There are reports that the company may close its factories in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Maraimalai Nagar, and Sanand by the end of this year. According to media reports, Ford is in talks with other auto companies to use its factory. Some reports have revealed that Ford is currently in talks with Ola, in which Ola may make its electric vehicles at Ford's factory. 

'Capital will be assessed'

According to the Economic Times report, a Ford Company spokesperson said that we do not want to talk on speculations. He further said that the company wants to assess its capital, which can be answered by the second half of this year.

Not done with Mahindra

Earlier, Ford had talked about developing vehicles together after discussing with Mahindra & Mahindra. Under this, four lakh units were to be produced every year, but the talks between Ford and Mahindra could not progress. At the same time, Ford is now exploring other options.
