Tesla Narrows Down It's Product Line-Up For India Including Model 3
The Model 3 and Model Y are closely related as the Model Y is the larger and more practical version of the Model 3 being a crossover of sorts.

As expected, the first car launch from Tesla would be its volume focussed entry level range which is the Model 3 and the Model Y. Both are the biggest sellers for the brand and these two have been narrowed down for India while globally they also have bigger cars like the Model S. The Model S however would be too expensive for India while the Model 3 would rival the likes of the BYD Seal and to some extent the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The Model 3 and Model Y are closely related as the Model Y is the larger and more practical version of the Model 3 being a crossover of sorts. The Model Y is one of the best selling cars worldwide and that will also come to India while it will be more expensive than the Model 3. Both models will come in their long range versions too which will have more range.

Interesting to note that the Model 3 and the Model Y will come to India in their updated avatars with a new look and improved equipment levels. The range would be minimum near 600km while going to more than 700km for the long range models. Globally, there are also the Performance versions which see performance numbers which beat many supercars.
The other question is the price but being imported, the price would rely on import duty cuts but again that is backed by a later plan for manufacturing but Tesla hasn't yet stated anything. We can expect prices from Rs 50 lakh to near Rs 1 crore as of now.
