Skoda Kylaq Gets 5 Stars In BNCAP Crash Tests
For child occupant protection, Kylaq scored full 16 points in the frontal offset barrier test and also 8 points in the side-moving deformable barrier test for 1.5 and 3-year-old children
Skoda Kylaq has just received a 5 star crash test safety rating. The Kylaq is a sub 4m SUV and has received a perfect score for its Bharat NCAP crash tests. The Kylaq which would be its first sub compact SUV scored 30.88 point out of 32.00 (97 per cent) in adult occupant protection and 45 points out of 49 points (92 per cent) in child occupant protection. This score is the highest for a sub4m ICE suv. Other details have emerged that the Kylaq scored 15.035 out of 16 points (94 per cent) in the frontal offset barrier test for adult occupant protection while in the side-moving deformable barrier test, it scored 15.840 points out of 16 points.
For child occupant protection, Kylaq scored full 16 points in the frontal offset barrier test and also 8 points in the side-moving deformable barrier test for 1.5 and 3-year-old children.
The Kylaq comes with 6 airbags as standard too. The Kylaq starts at a price of Rs 7.89 lakh while it comes with a 1.0 litre TSI turbo petrol as standard along with the option of a 6 speed torque converter automatic and a 6 speed manual gearbox. The Kylaq would be the smallest Skoda while getting features like dual powered seats with ventilation and a sunroof etc. Skoda will also display the Kylaq at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo along with numerous other products.
