Skoda Elroq Is Its New Electric Compact SUV. Check The Pictures

Elroq is the name for the new Skoda electric SUV and it is based on the MEB platform. It is also the first Skoda to have the brand lettering on the bonnet along with having a new design language. It even lets go of the traditional Skoda grille as instead it has a blanked off grille which stores the radars and the cameras.
The design is more of a crossover with a sloping roof and just like all EVs it has aerodynamically optimised wheels and a wheel gap reducer, which extends the wheel arch cladding to increase airflow. The sizes are big and range up to 21 inch.
The interior meanwhile has a 5inch digital cockpit and a diagonal 13inch touchscreen while the interior gets sustainable materials
The upholstery is made up of Recytitan fibre in Dark Melange and you can see it in the seats, dashboard, centre armrest and knee area. Recytitan consists of 78 per cent recycled PET and the fibres are processed without chemicals.

The Elroq 60 is the more powerful version and has a 63-kWh battery and a 150-kW electric motor. Both of these models have a top speed of 160 km/h.
The range on offer is a healthy 560 km while it is DC charging compliant at up to 175 kW.
The unveil of the car will take place towards the end of the year and Skoda could bring this car but with a lower cost platform which is suitable for India.
Skoda is of course developing a subcompact SUV for India and that will be coming next year while an electric SUV will also come later.
