Porsche Launches All Electric Model Taycan & Macan SUV In India – Full Details Inside

The fastest version of the Macan is the GTS which gets the same 2.9-litre V6 but with 324 kW (440 PS) power and a top speed of 272km/h.

Porsche Electric Taycan Launch: Porsche has not just launched one car but two in India with the new Macan midsize SUV and the Taycan electric Cross Turismo/sports sedan. The Macan is its best-selling SUV in India and this new version received an update to the exteriors plus the interiors.

The Macan range now includes Macan, Macan S and Macan GTS with the 195 kW (265 PS) turbocharged, four-cylinder engine being part of the entry-level model going all the way to the Macan S which is powered by a 2.9-litre V6 developing 280 kW (380 PS) with a 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds.

The fastest version of the Macan is the GTS which gets the same 2.9-litre V6 but with 324 kW (440 PS) power and a top speed of 272km/h. Standard with the new Macan is a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission (PDK) along with all-wheel drive.

The exterior of the new Macan is also changed with a new look while it also gets LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). The Macan range starts at Rs 83.21 lakh but compared to the previous version, there is more standard equipment now.

The other big launches are the Taycan and the Taycan Cross Turismo. The Taycan is the first all electric Porsche with a 456 km range from its 93.4 kWh battery. The Taycan in standard form is a sedan with a sporty look while the interior gets no less than four screens including two touch units and one for the driver plus one for the passenger too. Standard features include air suspension, Bose audio system and more.

The more accessible Taycan has been launched with a 79.2kWh battery pack. The electric car can also be charged upto 80 percent in just 20 minutes while standard fast charging will do so in 1.5 hours. The Cross Turismo is the more SUV-like version with more ground clearance and SUV-like styling. Performance is very fast including the Turbo S model which does 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Prices start at 15,028,000 INR.
