The newest war turf is in the electric scooter segment with numerous new players launching new products to gain the attention of the new-age scooter buyer. It's not just style or range that matters as it also features amongst other factors that will dictate the success along with bringing the products to the market in time. For now, we must discuss the specification of these key electric scooters.

The scooter with the highest battery capacity is the Simple One with a capacity of 4.8kWh followed by Ola S1 at 2.98kWh/3.97kWh for the S1 and S1 Pro respectively. The Ather has the smallest battery capacity at 2.61kWh. In terms of power, the Ola leads the pack with 11.5 bhp vs 9.4 bhp of the Simple one. The Ather comes in at 8bhp. Do note that the Ather is also the lightest with the Simple One being next while the Ola is the heaviest of the three. A crucial factor is also the range per full charge since that is arguably more important than the power output. The Ola S1 claims 121km while the Pro version is rated at 181km range. The Simple One however beats that with a significantly more 236km. The Ather is much lower at 116km. If you want more top-speed, the Ola S1 Pro should be your choice though with a speed of 115km/h while the Simple One is at 105 km/h. The Ather is much lower at 80 km/h. That said, the One is the quickest to 0-40 km/h.

Convenience is also the name of the game with all these new-age electric scooters offering you a decent amount of features. All three feature a TFT screen with touch screen functionality plus reverse function. There is also Bluetooth, LED lighting, and WiFi along with a mobile application/geo-fencing etc. The Simple One has features like a tyre pressure monitoring system but the Ola S1 Pro comes with a voice assistant, cruise control, and hill hold. The Ola has also the highest in terms of under-seat storage followed closely by the Simple One and the Ather.

It should be said that Ather has been around for a while with the other two being newer players hence the need to prove regarding deliveries and actually putting these scooters onto the markets in the hands of the buyers. The prices do differ in many states due to the subsidies but the Ather is priced between Rs 1.1- 1.3 lakh while the Ola S1 starts from Rs 1 lakh with the Pro version being Rs 1.3 lakh. Lastly the One is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh. All in all, the Ather has some competition with Ola packing in features while the One has more range.
