New Jeep Compass Electric Gains Upto 650Km Range
The EV also has an Active Grill Shutter placed directly in the front bumper, Air duct on front and rear wheels. For better aerodynamics, there is also a flat underbody design

Based on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, the new generation Compass supports electrification for the first time and that is significant as the new Compass electric has a range of 650km. With a length of 4.55m, the new Compass is larger and has more room now. In terms of the BEV versions, there are three and there is also a dual motor version which has upto 375hp thanks to another motor. This also means that it is the only Compass which has four wheel drive from launch- a key departure from the current version. The EV also has an Active Grill Shutter placed directly in the front bumper, Air duct on front and rear wheels. For better aerodynamics, there is also a flat underbody design.

The new Compass is easily a segment above now in terms of looks or even the technology while this new EV version is a key launch for global markets. This new platform is different for India but as a premium EV of sorts, the all electric new generation Compass from Jeep could work. Other new highlights could include 20-inch wheels, LED Matrix headlamps, boxier looks, Adas Level 2 and more. The base version in EV form has 213hp with a single front motor while Jeep has also given hybrid versions. Currently the chances of the new Compass coming here are slim as the new one could be much more expensive along with localising this new platform. For now, Jeep is working on some other new products for India
