The talking point is the AI or Artificial Intelligence being present in the car in the form of a personal AI assistant. This unique feature shows human-like emotions and voices and can give detailed information on every topic through even Wikipedia. The AI assistant is placed on the dashboard and will answer queries to other info plus also doing vehicle operations like closing or opening the sunroof. Then there is also the i-Smart Hub. It is a platform on which the partnerships, services, and subscriptions will be there.
By this, we mean maps and navigation with MapMyIndia, Jio connectivity, Blockchain-protected vehicle digital passport by KoineArth, and more. MG car owners will also get access to music on the JioSaavn app along with also having the ability to reserve a parking slot through a head unit.
With the Gloster, we have seen autonomous features while the Astor will get autonomous level 2 features. These include features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Headlamp Control (IHC), Rear Drive Assist (RDA), and Speed Assist System amongst others. MG also showcased the design of the Astor along with the interior. The SUV will come with various interior themes including the ‘Dual Tone Sangria Red’ as shown here. The Astor is expected to debut with features like a digital instrument cluster and more plus being powered by petrol engines. The design going by the image shared is based on the facelifted ZS and is essentially the new ZS albeit with a petrol engine.
