The new Swift enters into a crowded segment full of capable cars below the Rs 10 lakh price bracket including many popular options from Maruti Suzuki itself. The Fronx has been a popular option here and in particular, its 1.2 petrol engined version which is the more affordable version. It also finds itself within the same price bracket as the Swift hence, let us take a look at both.

Which car has more features?

The Fronx gets a 360 degree camera, heads-up display, connected car tech and more while the Swift has more standard equipment including 6 airbags while also getting a 9inch touchscreen but having a regular rear camera instead.

Which car is more efficient?

The Fronx has a 1.2l petrol and a Boosterjet 1.0 l turbo petrol with the turbo petrol having more power at 100bhp while the 1.2l has 88bp. The mileage also varies from 20.01 to 22.89 kmpl. The new Swift meanwhile gets a 3 cylinder Z series engine which gets less power than the Fronx at 82PS but has significantly more efficiency at 25.8 kmpl.

Which car is more value?

The Fronx starts at Rs 7.5 lakh while the 1.2l AMT is around Rs 9.3 lakh while the turbo variants in automatic form is Rs 13 lakh. The Swift starts cheaper at Rs 6.4 lakh while the top-end AMT is slightly more at Rs 9.6 lakh. The Fronx has more space and features here while the Swift has more efficiency while also getting more safety equipment.
