Mahindra Launches Thar ROXX In India — Check Images
Mahindra has launched the Thar ROXX, a 5-door SUV based on the Scorpio N chassis with a longer wheelbase.
Mahindra has finally revealed the Thar ROXX and launched the SUV at a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh. The Thar ROXX is the much-awaited 5-door version of the Thar, but is not directly based on the 3-door Thar neither it is just a Thar with an extra two doors.
The ROXX is based on the Scorpio N chassis and has a longer wheelbase, along with a lot more features plus more power as well than the 3-door Thar.
The ROXX looks different from the front with the double stacked grille with 6 slots plus new LED projector headlamps plus new DRLs. The grille also has body coloured elements which again is different from the 3-door.
Of course, the talking point is the rear doors with the door handle on the C-pillar along with larger 18-inch wheels. The rear styling maintains the classic Thar elements while the colour options include black, grey, red and white.
Inside, it is much more premium now with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Even the centre console has been reconfigured with new buttons.
Added features include front and rear armrests, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, Adas level 2, six airbags, rear disc brakes and rear AC vents plus more.
The rear seat has a bench-style seat with an armrest while it does not get individual seats while boot space is litres.
The Thar ROXX has a 2.2l diesel engine with two power outputs with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with 4x4.
There is also a 2.0l turbo petrol with bhp and that also includes either a 6-speed manual or automatic with 4x4.
