The Brezza is currently the best selling under 4m SUV and Kia enters this space for the second time with its Syros. With the prices of the Syros being revealed, let us take a look at how it compares with the Seltos as well as the Brezza, the best selling sub 4m SUV. The Syros which is available with a turbo petrol only starts at Rs 8.99 lakh while the Brezza starts at Rs 8.34 lakh. The bigger Seltos meanwhile starts at Rs 11.13 lakh. The base price of the Syros is indeed aggressive when compared to other sub 4m SUVs.

When compared with the automatic Syros with the turbo petrol DCT, prices start at Rs 12.79 lakh while the top-end petrol DCT is Rs 15.99 lakh. In the Brezza, the automatic is a torque converter and it comes with the naturally aspirated motor while the automatic range begins at Rs 11.10 lakh. The top-end is Rs 14 lakh. The Seltos with the 1.5l CVT or IVT range starts at Rs 15.7 lakh while the top-end DCT turbo petrol is Rs 20 lakh plus.

The diesel Syros starts at Rs 10.99 lakh while the top-end is Rs 16.99 lakh. The diesel Seltos starts at Rs 12.7 lakh while the diesel AT is Rs 20.5 lakh. The Syros, while starting aggressively, is a bit expensive towards the top-end and compared to cars like the Brezza is also more expensive. Inevitably, the Syros price also enters the 4m plus territory with the Seltos or Creta 1.5 CVT being available at the same price. Hence, the lower variants of the Syros are more value for money.
