Hyundai Unveils Details Of Upcoming Exter Launch In India, With 3 Powertrain Options And 5 Variants To Choose From
The Exter would be launched in August and will be the entry-level offering from Hyundai in India being placed at the start of the SUV lineup.
Hyundai has revealed some important specifications and details regarding its next big launch for India which is the Exter of course. The Exter has been revealed via images and also bookings are now open with an amount of Rs 11,000. The Exter comes with 3 powertrain options - 1.2 l Kappa petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) with choice of 5-speed manual transmission & AMT and 1.2 l Bi-fuel Kappa petrol and CNG with 5-speed Manual transmission.
In terms of variants, there are 5 which include EX, S, SX, SX(O) & SX(O) Connect. Hyundai has also revealed the colour options with 6 Monotone and 3 Dual tone exterior colour options including 2 New colours – Cosmic Blue, and Ranger Khaki which are also available with Dual tone colour options.
The design includes the latest Parametric design language which has been seen on other Hyundai cars too. There is a Parametric grille and a C pillar while the front end gets projector headlights and LED DRLs. SUV-like design elements like a skid plate, roof rails etc are also given.

The Exter also has diamond-cut alloys while the ground clearance also seems ample from the image. Interior and feature details have not been revealed as yet but we expect features like a touchscreen, wireless charging, connected car technology and a rearview camera display plus more. Expect 6 airbags in the top-end trim too.
