The Hero Mavrick 440, despite being the most expensive Hero bike, still undercuts the pricing of its key competitors. The price is lower even the Harley itself.
Hero MotoCorp has launched its most premium motorcycle in India, the Mavrick 440 based on the Harley Davidson X440. With this launch, Hero enters the premium category with the Mavrick 440's looks and pricing.
The price of the Mavrick 440 starts at Rs 1.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 2.24 lakh. It churns out the same amount of power as the Harley Davidson X440 and even shares many parts with it.
The engine which is a 440 CC, single-cylinder unit (same as the Harley-Davidson X440's), also develops the same 27 HP. The engine has been retuned to suit this bike's character while it gets a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.
At 36Nm, the torque is, however, slightly lower than the Harley's 38 Nm.
The Mavrick 440 has an aggressive roadster-like design with a muscular tank and gets 17-inch wheels at both ends.
The bike also uses a 43 mm telescopic fork up front and has 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes. It boasts of a 175mm ground clearance. The other distinctive styling touches include a round headlamp with H-shaped DRLs and an all-LED lighting set-up.
The digital speedometer has turn-by-turn navigation system and a gear indicator among other features.
The Hero Mavrick 440 will lock horns with a lot of competitors like the Triumph Speed 400, Jawa 350, Honda CB350, and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Of course, it will also compete with its Harley Davidson sibling as well.

Bookings have opened and deliveries will begin from April. It is currently available in three variants.
Harley Davidson and Hero Motocorp have tied up to produce premium bikes in India with locally manufactured parts. The Harley Davidson X440, pushed out in 2023, was the first offering of the joint venture.
