Splendor To Passion, Hero Bikes Are Costlier Now — Check Out The New Prices

Hero MotoCorp has increased prices of its bikes, including Glamour, Passion Plus and Splendor Plus, by up to Rs 2,000 to comply with new emission norms.

Hero MotoCorp has increased the prices of several of its motorcycles following updates made to comply with the latest emission norms. The brand, known for offering fuel-efficient bikes at affordable prices, has revised prices for popular models including the Splendor Plus, Passion Plus, Super Splendor Xtec, and Glamour.

Price Hike For Splendor Plus

The Hero Splendor Plus, India’s best-selling motorcycle, has seen a price hike of Rs 1,750. Previously costing Rs 77,176 (ex-showroom), the price range of the bike variant now starts from Rs 78,926.

Passion Plus Now More Expensive

The Hero Passion Plus has also become costlier by Rs 1,750. The model has been updated to meet the OBD (On-board Diagnostics) 2B emission standards. Its ex-showroom price has increased from Rs 79,901 to Rs 81,651.

Super Splendor Xtec Sees Rs 2,000 Price Increase

The Super Splendor Xtec has been relaunched with the latest emission updates, resulting in a Rs 2,000 price increase. Earlier, the model was priced at Rs 86,128 (ex-showroom). It now starts at Rs 88,128.

Glamour Gets A Price Bump Too

Following similar updates, the price of the Hero Glamour has also gone up by Rs 2,000. After upgrading its 100cc models like the Splendor Plus and Passion Plus, Hero has now updated its 125cc Glamour. The bike, earlier priced at Rs 84,698 (ex-showroom), now starts at Rs 86,698.

Hero MotoCorp had in February this year said the inclusion of an OBD device in new two-wheelers — required under the BS6 Phase 2 emission norms — would lead to a modest price increase of 1-2%. The updated norms aim to tighten carbon emission standards in India by enabling real-time monitoring and improved diagnostic capabilities.

"There is going to be a marginal price increase of 1-2 per cent because of the additional hardware that would be installed in the products. That would be valid across the industry,” Vikram Kasbekar, Hero MotoCorp Executive Director (Operations), had been quoted as saying in a Business Standard report.
