Exclusive| Hyundai Alcazar- The Most Powerful Petrol SUV To Launch Around June 20

The Alcazar is based on the Creta but has enough differences to justify the different names. It is not just a 7-seater/6-seater Creta as there are different petrol engine options and features.

One of the most awaited new launches is the new three-row SUV from Hyundai called the Alcazar. Needless to say, due to current events, the launch was postponed and now we can say that the launch will most likely take place on the 20th of June with bookings about to be started soon.

The Alcazar is based on the Creta but has enough differences to justify the different name. It is not just a 7-seater/6-seater Creta as there are different petrol engine options and features. The standard variant would be expected to be the 7-seater with a bench seating second row while the top-end trims would have both the 6-seater captains seats and of course the 7-seater.

The 6-seater will get added features for the second-row occupants including cupholders and wireless charging. Of course, it will get all of the features from the Creta including the massive panoramic sunroof and more including ambient lighting which can be configured.

There would be a new interior colour called as 'Cognac brown' also. Having seen the car ourselves, the Alcazar has more than enough third-row space plus of course has the longest wheelbase in its class. In terms of exterior design, the Alcazar gets bigger wheels over the Creta and a large quarter glass along with different looking rear styling. The engine option would start with a 2.0 petrol with manual and automatic gearbox options while there is also a 1.5l diesel.

The use of the larger 2.0 petrol makes the Alcazar the most powerful petrol SUV at this price point that said it does not get any 4WD like many of its rivals, unlike the pricier Tucson. The Alcazar would be at a considerable premium over the Creta in terms of pricing as it will fill the gap between the Creta and the Tucson.
