EICMA 2023: Hero Concept 2.5R Xtunt And Vida Concept Lynx First look
While the Hero XTunt concept pins hope for a radical offering from Hero in the future, the Vida Concept Lynx promises a lightweight electric dirt-bike that we could see in the near future.
Hero Motocorp has shown a bevy of concepts at the 2023 EICMA show with the focus being on the radical Concept 2.5R Xtunt and the Concept Lynx electric from its Vida range. The 2.5R XTunt concept looks quite aggressive and best of all, previews a new 250 cc motorcycle from them in the future. The alien-like front end is something out of a science fiction movie and the detailing is also replete with aggressive form plus function. The bold red and white colour scheme also gets your attention. The other highlight here is a new powertrain based on the Karizma XMR. It is a new liquid-cooled, 250cc, single cylinder engine while it also has a frame similar to the new Karizma as well.
Other details include USD front forks plus adjustable mono rear suspension. These could make it to a future 250 cc offering and also some of the styling elements can also be seen in future models. Some concepts like the details obviously will not make it to production, but the styling is on point. This new bike will compete with the likes of the KTM Duke 250, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and more. Expect a production version next year and it is clear that it is making a beeline for the premium segment with its current offerings.
The other concept which caught our attention was an electric off-road motorcycle within the Vida brand. Called the Vida Concept Lynx, it weighs just 82 kgs while being a dirt bike with a focus on stripping away as much weight as possible. Everything has been made to withstand tough terrain as well while coming with a powerful electric motor. Other highlights include regenerative braking which can be customised as well as traction control. A lot of these features can be controlled via a mobile app too. With an electric heart, the Lynx concept can have maximum torque and power from the get go. At the moment it is a concept but it sure looks radical.
