BYD Sealion 7 EV Expected Price In India

BYD is finally launching more products from the global portfolio and the next launch after the eMax 7 is the Sealion 7 which is sort of an SUV coupe version of the Seal sedan. The Seal sedan is already on sale in India and the Sealion 7 is the more practical avatar. It is an SUV coupe version and comes with a coupe SUV like roofline. In India we can expect the Sealion to come with two battery packs while the range would be around 500km or so.

Now let us get to the main talking point of article which is the expected price of the Sealion 7. The Sealion 7 would be price near Rs 50 lakh or so while being considerably more than the Seal which is Rs 41 lakh price.

 

 

The Sealion 7 would be launched in the Q1 of 2025 while it would be a premium product above the Seal. BYD will also showcase the Sealion 7 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Like other BYD products it will get the Blade battery setup while rivalling the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. Globally the BYD Sealion is a competitor to the Tesla Model Y as the Seal is a Tesla Model 3 rival of sorts. BYD will also increase its India footprint with more dealerships along with expanding its presence.
