BMW India Unveils 'Retail Next' For Futuristic Showroom Experience

Vikram Pawah, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said Retail Next showrooms will have a one floor concept where BMW, Mini, Motorrad would be there under one roof

BMW Group India has opened its first Retail Next sales outlet in Gurugram, while more will come soon while replacing all of its showrooms in India. The Retail Next showroom concept changes the current layout as also explained in an interview with Vikram Pawah, President and CEO, BMW Group India.

The big change is the concept of space with an airy layout while there is no traditional reception instead having a 'Welcome stand' plus different and dedicated areas for the delivery process while there is a Customer Walkaway which is open along with leading to the floor above which sees M division cars or Mini being there.

Speaking of which, these Retail Next showrooms will have a one floor concept where BMW, Mini, Motorrad would be there under one roof. There are separate consultation areas as well along with a hospitality area.

As explained by Vikram Pawah, these are new boutique showrooms replacing the traditional concepts with a living room like look. Of course, there are screens and personalisation areas for each brand including M Division and Mini.

These showrooms will replace the current showrooms all over India with different themes and variations. On the product side, Pawah said that the 5 Series has strong demand and both the EV product range along with SAVs would be bolstered. While we can expect new products like the X3 in the future, long wheelbase sedans such as the 3 Gran Limousine and the 5 Series LWB along with 7 Series will also remain core to the BMW line-up. BMW India earlier launched the new 5 Series with the LWB configuration plus also introduced the electric Mini Countryman recently along with new Cooper S.
