Bengaluru-Based Startup Launches Affordable Electric Scooter, Without A Battery – All You Need To Know
The low price of the electric scooter has been achieved while giving buyers an option of purchasing with or without a battery pack.
Electric scooters are the new trend but affordability has been an issue till now. However, an innovative idea will bring affordability to the electric scooter space. Bengaluru-based EV start-up Bounce for example has launched its electric scooter Infinity E1 at a price of Rs Rs 45,099.
Without the battery! Yes, the low price of the electric scooter has been achieved while giving buyers the option of purchasing with or without a battery pack. With battery, it is priced at Rs 68,999.
Without battery, buyers use the battery pack on a rental basis and use the battery swapping network of Bounce to change the drained battery pack for a fully charged battery. While it is the first such scooter with a feature like this, the running costs of the said electric scooter will decrease as a result.
In terms of its battery pack it is a 2kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers 83Nm of torque while having a top speed of 65 kmph. It can be charged via a regular charger too while the charging time is five hours. The other notable features of this scooter include reverse mode, cruise control, anti-theft system, tow alert and geo-fencing plus more.
Users can track the charging status of their scooter too. There are also five colour options for the scooter including matt options. The battery subscription method and the pricing without it makes the scooter more affordable than the current options available in the market.
