Audi Q8 Facelift 2024 Review: A Stylish Luxury SUV
There are also new HD Matrix LEDs with laser lights along with the fact that you can customise the DRL signatures- quite cool! Elsewhere there are new 21-inch alloys with the rotating wheel caps
The Q8 remains one of the best looking SUVs in its class mainly due to its sloping roof and the wide stance which comes courtesy the muscular lines. It is a sporty luxury SUV which sits above the more practical Q7. Now, Audi has given it an update while it seems better value than rivals with a price of Rs 1.17 cr.
Technically speaking the Q8 does not have any rivals in India at this price which means it sits in its own space. The looks are the highlight which now has a new grille with additional inserts along with the new Audi 2D logo. There are also new HD Matrix LEDs with laser lights along with the fact that you can customise the DRL signatures- quite cool! Elsewhere there are new 21-inch alloys with the rotating wheel caps. The rear styling still continues as before but frankly no change was needed anyways while now there is a silver finished skid plate. The Q8 looks fantastic and that remains its highlight.
Inside, the Q8 continues with three screens- one for the driver plus two touchscreens. The digital display is the typical Audi cockpit which can be customisable and we think, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! It is easier to use than some rivals! As expected from an SUV of this class, the Q8 comes with dual electric seats at the front, a massive panoramic sunroof, 4 zone climate control system, ambient lighting, B&O audio system, powered sun blinds, a 360 degree camera, Park Assist Plus, powered tailgate opener and closing plus soft close doors.
However, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay was sorely missed along with cooled seats. Space at the back is more generous than you think too and it is quite comfy. The engine remains a 3.0-litre turbo V6 with a mild hybrid system which produces 340 bhp and 500Nm with a standard 8-speed auto plus Quattro AWD of course. New to the Q8 is the fact that it does not get air suspension but honestly, you would hardly notice with a pliant ride and a comfortable driving experience. It is not as hard edged as rivals while the smooth engine offers enough power with being an excellent cruiser. It is a big car but does not feel so behind the wheel while the steering is light as you would expect from an Audi too.
The Q8 remains a good value for money luxury SUV since for the price it has the space, the presence but also the hint of sportiness which owners would like.
