Hence, it is no surprise that we are seeing more CNG versions of SUVs being launched and the latest one is the Nexon CNG which is the first turbocharged petrol SUV to have this option. Let us compare the efficiency and the prices of the Nexon CNG and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza plus Fronx CNG.
In terms of efficiency, the Fronx CNG has the highest efficiency number of 28.51 km/kg while the Brezza CNG has an efficiency of 25.51 km/kg along with the Nexon CNG having a claimed efficiency of 24 km/kg. While all three come with factory fitted CNG options, in terms of power, the Fronx in CNG mode makes 77.5 bhp and 98.5 Nm. The Brezza in CNG mode makes 87 BHP and 121 Nm which means the Nexon CNG is the most powerful car here with 98bhp and 170Nm. The Fronx and the Brezza have a standard 5-speed manual while the Nexon CNG has a 6-speed one.
In terms of boot space, the Nexon CNG has the twin cylinder tech which means the boot capacity is 321l while the Fronx as well as Brezza also have a decent boot while the CNG cylinder does eat into it a bit. In terms of price, the Nexon CNG is priced between Rs 8.99 lakh starting and Rs 14.59 lakh. The Brezza CNG is priced between Rs 9.14 lakh to Rs 11.9 lakh. The Fronx CNG meanwhile comes between Rs 8.4 to Rs 9.2 lakh. The Fronx is the most affordable here and the most efficient followed by the Brezza but the Nexon CNG has more variants plus more features as well as boot space.
