Sawan month 2018: Devotees all over India offer prayers on first Monday of the auspicious month

The auspicious Shravan month has commenced from today, July 30. It's the first Monday of 'Sawan' month and the entire nation is engagaed in early morning prayers and seeking the blessings of Lord Shiv. Devotees flocked Ujjian's famous Mahakal Temple to offer prayers. They offered prayers to Lord Shiva. The Shravan month is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is considered quite auspicious. People queue up in front of temples since 5 in the morning.
The whole month is considered auspicious to seek blessing of Lord Shiva. Devotees keep various fasts during Shravan month to please Lord Shiva.
