Rajsamand: Jaipur royal and BJP candidate Diya Kumari's political campaign

In an effort to target the influential Rajput community in Rajasthan, the BJP has fielded Jaipur ‘princess’ Diya Kumari in the forthcoming general elections. The party has decided to field Diya Kumari, from Rajsamand parliamentary constituency for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. She will now face Congress' Devi Nandan Gurjar of Congress.

Diya Kumari, is an Indian politician. She is a member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Sawai Madhopur constituency and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She is the daughter of the last Maharaja of Jaipur, Sawai Bhawani Singh and Padmini Devi.
