Will Imran Khan's Gilgit-Baltistan move save his govt in Pakistan?

Imran Khan government declared Gilgit-Baltistan as its provisional fifth province on Sunday. He announced that his government has decided to grant the "provisional-provincial status" to Gilgit-Baltistan, a part of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947.

The only question here is if this move will help Imran Khan save his position and his government or not.
