War Update: US Prepares Ground War Option as Iran Conflict Risks Major Escalation

The ongoing conflict may soon enter a new phase of ground warfare as the United States intensifies military preparations against Iran. While Donald Trump has denied current troop deployment, he has not ruled out future action. Reports suggest the Pentagon has developed plans for a possible ground invasion. Around 3,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division and thousands of Marines have already been moved to the Middle East, signaling readiness for rapid deployment. Experts believe that if ceasefire talks fail, the US may launch a dual attack strategy—airborne assaults and naval operations targeting key Iranian locations near the Strait of Hormuz. Potential targets include Kharg Island, Qeshm Island, Abu Musa, Tunb Islands, and Bandar Abbas, all critical for oil exports and maritime control. Meanwhile, Iran has warned of severe retaliation against any ground invasion and hinted at broader regional involvement. Rising global pressure to reopen vital oil routes and growing alignment with Russia and China indicate the conflict could expand further.
