Women protesting at Jantar Mantar demand death penalty for rapist within 6 months

Demanding justice for 27-year-old Hyderabad Doctor who was raped and murdered on the outskirts of the state, several women along with Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal come out in protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The agitated women are demanding death penalty from the centre for rapists within 6 months.

In the last few days, protests have taken place in several parts of the country over the rape and murder of the veterinary.

Meanwhile, Swati Maliwal is on indefinite hunger strike to protest against incidents of rape. She said will continue her fast unto death until Centre does not bring in a system that ensures hanging of rapist within 6 months.
