WB Polls: Two BJP candidates refuse to contest elections

Two leaders have been nominated by the BJP, but both of them not only refused to contest on the BJP ticket, but also wondered how they were given the ticket. The BJP on Thursday announced 157 candidates for the West Bengal Assembly polls. Polling for the 294 seats of the West Bengal Assembly will be held in eight phases from March 27 to April 29. Counting of votes will take place on May 2.
