Mumbai shops to remain open 24x7 from Jan 27

Nightlife is soon going to be a reality for Mumbaikars, as the Maharashtra Cabinet cleared the proposal to keep Mumbai open for 24 hours from January 27. There has been no relaxation in excise rules. This will not apply to bars or pubs. Complexes which have parking, security, CCTVs, licenced establishments, and are away from residential localities will be permitted the option of 24x7 operations
