Jammu Kashmir: 5 security personnel including an army officer have been martyred in an encounter with terrorists in a forest area of ​​Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials gave this information on Tuesday (July 16, 2024). Officials said that the soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint cordon and search operation in Dhari Gote Urbagi of Desa Forest area at around 2.45 pm, after which the encounter started. He said that four army personnel, including an officer, and a policeman were injured in the firing that lasted for more than 20 minutes. Officials said that the injured were taken to the hospital where their condition remained critical and four of them have now died. Regarding the terrorist attack in Doda district, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the entire country stands in solidarity, but we demand from the government that strictest action should be taken.
