Violence Erupts at 1008 Kundiya Mahayagya in Kurukshetra, Two Injured in Firing and Stone Pelting
A violent clash broke out during the 1008 Kundiya Mahayagya in Kurukshetra, Haryana, leading to gunfire and stone pelting. The dispute arose among the participants of the ritual, escalating into a violent altercation. Two individuals sustained gunshot wounds, while others suffered injuries from stone pelting. One of the injured, identified as a Brahmin prince from Lakhimpur Kheri, was hit on the head with a stone.The event was part of a series of grand Yagyas conducted by a self-proclaimed 'Yagya Samrat,' who has organized over 100 such rituals nationwide. His sudden disappearance amid the violence has raised questions about the event’s organization and security measures. Several dignitaries, including a Tripura Deputy Speaker and Union ministers, had attended the event earlier. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar was scheduled to visit, but it remains uncertain whether he will proceed with his plans. Meanwhile, authorities are attempting to restore order as tensions persist.
