Upendra Kushwaha remains mum over RJD's support offer over caste-census
JDU parliamentary board chairman Upendra Kushwaha on Thursday said that the party will not compromise on the issue of the census in Bihar. The leader noted that the central government has delayed the general census and has not yet taken any decision over the statewide procedure, however, Nitish Kumar-govt is committed to starting the census soon. On being asked if the JDU will take support from the RJD in future to implement the general census, he said that the party is not dependent on anyone. No political party, including the BJP, can afford to "say no" to a caste census, he added.
