Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who chaired his first cabinet meeting in Lucknow on Saturday, said the government has decided to extend the free ration scheme for the next three months. Adityanath added this scheme will benefit 15 crore people of Uttar Pradesh. “In the cabinet meeting today, we have decided to extend the free ration scheme for the next three months. It will benefit 15 crore people of the state,” ANI reported Adityanath as saying. Echoing similar sentiments, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said the state government will spend Rs 3,270 crore for this scheme.
