A powerful storm swept through Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand on Friday, leaving behind a trail of destruction. Strong winds and sudden weather changes uprooted several trees and electricity poles, while many houses suffered severe damage as their roofs were blown away.The storm struck in the late afternoon, catching residents off guard. Locals reported chaos as trees blocked roads and falling debris caused fear among people. In several areas, power supply was disrupted due to damaged poles and snapped wires.Authorities reached the affected spots quickly and began clearing operations to restore normalcy. Disaster response teams, along with local police and civic workers, were deployed to remove fallen trees and ensure traffic movement.Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, but the storm has caused significant property damage, especially in rural areas where tin-roofed houses were most vulnerable.
