Sonam resurfaces after 17 days, faces murder charges in husband Raja Raghuvanshi's death
Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of Indore-based transport businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, is now at the center of a high-profile murder investigation. After going missing in Meghalaya during a post-wedding trip, she resurfaced 17 days later at a roadside eatery in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. There, she reportedly borrowed a phone to contact her family, leading to her recovery by local police. Meghalaya Police, however, claim Sonam orchestrated her husband’s murder, and three suspects from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested so far. One of them, Raj Kushwaha, allegedly worked with Sonam in her office and was in regular contact with her. Raja’s family, initially dismissive of Sonam’s involvement, now concedes that she may have played a role. Sonam’s father, Devi Singh Raghuvanshi, insists she is innocent and accuses police of framing her. The family has demanded a CBI probe into the case. Sonam is currently in protective custody and is expected to be taken to Meghalaya on transit remand. The investigation continues as authorities attempt to uncover the full truth behind Raja’s murder.
