Shrinate Calls Slams Budget 'Save the Chair,' Trivedi Defends Performance and Criticizes Opposition

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate criticized the budget, calling it a "save the chair" budget, though she acknowledged the benefits given to Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. She expressed hope that infrastructure in Bihar would improve. Shrinate also remarked that copying requires intelligence, implying inadequacies in the budget. BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi defended the government's performance, citing a growth rate of 7.2%, compared to 2% during the opposition's tenure, and lower inflation rates. He accused the opposition of politicizing the budget and questioned their commitment to farmers, challenging them to implement MSP in Congress-ruled states like Punjab and Karnataka. At the ABP News Summit, Supriya Shrinate stated that the middle class, once a strong supporter of the BJP, feels alienated by the budget. She claimed that the middle class regrets voting for the BJP, accusing the government of burdening them. Sudhanshu Trivedi countered by highlighting internal conflicts within the opposition, pointing to the collapse of alliances and discord in states like Delhi and West Bengal. He also mentioned conflicting statements from Bihar's political leaders regarding the budget's impact on the state.
