Rajasthan: Police use special weapon to repulse protesters
In Dungarpur district, there has been a movement for the last 20 days to demand the filling of 1167 vacant posts from ST candidates under Teacher Recruitment 2018. In response to the stone pelting of the protesters, the police fired hundreds of rounds of rubber bullets and tear gas to control the situation.
Two people died in Dungarpur district due to violent recruitment of teachers. In view of the constant tension in the district, the state government has demanded a Rapid Action Force from the Center.
