Protest: Jantar Mantar Protest Ends After Government Accepts CJP Demands

The month-long protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar concluded after the government accepted the key demands of CJP and protesting students, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Following the announcement, demonstrators celebrated the outcome and returned to their homes, bringing the 31-day agitation to an end. Soon after, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) launched an extensive clean-up operation, removing the protest stage, dismantling multi-layered barricades, clearing garbage, and erasing slogans, banners, and posters from the site. NDMC Chairman Kuljeet Chahal and senior officials supervised the restoration work, while police personnel deployed during the protest were also withdrawn. Traffic on Parliament Street and surrounding roads, which had remained closed following clashes and stone-pelting incidents during the demonstrations, resumed normal movement after barricades were removed. Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu accepted Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation on the recommendation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assigned the additional charge of the Education Ministry to Prahlad Joshi. CJP spokesperson Saurabh Das described the government's acceptance of the group's demands as a major victory for students and youth.
