PM dedicates tweet to Ram Vilas Paswan, offers condolences
Lok Janshakti Party founder and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan died on Thursday evening after a prolonged illness. He was 74. He was admitted to a Delhi hospital and breathed his last today. Paswan underwent heart surgery recently and was struggling with his health in the past few days.
PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter and posted, "Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji rose in politics through hardwork and determination. As a young leader, he resisted tyranny and the assault on our democracy during the Emergency. He was an outstanding Parliamentarian and Minister, making lasting contributions in several policy areas."
